An Interview With Katrin Reiterer – DEWETRONs HR Manager
A lot has happened since DEWETRON was founded in 1989. Particularly significant for our achievements was our decision to reposition ourselves along the value chain. Thus, DEWETRON evolved from a supplier of PC components to an important player in the development and manufacturing of high-precision measurement technology. Therefore, today we are not only recognized for products like our Power Analyzer or our All-in-One systems, but we also develop our own software – OXYGEN (learn more about the latest version here). However, we were only able to achieve all this through the relentless efforts of our colleagues, who design DEWETRON’s products, services, and processes with much dedication to detail.

Katrin’s position at DEWETRON is as versatile as it could be. Consequently, she is not only responsible for recruiting, but also for organizational development, personnel development, company events (currently online of course, but the next offline barbecue is already in the planning phase), and much more. Katrin, please tell us how you became part of DEWETRON?
I must have applied at the right time for the job posting that suited me. Then, Mr. Christian Neubauer (CFO DEWETRON Group), my line manager and mentor, brought me into the team.
Which aspects make DEWETRON a unique employer? Why should someone join DEWETRON?
The measurable difference. That is the slogan we use to present ourselves to the market. We provide the measurable difference in terms of our high-precision, innovative measurement technology, which sets us apart. However, and above all, because of our unique corporate culture, which we live throughout the entire group of companies. What is the best part about your job? What makes DEWETRON special for you?
The best part for me is to face new challenges every day, in an environment where you are appreciated and can start the day with a smile.

What do you think is pivotal in a successful recruiting process?
Well-designed, functioning processes – associated with quick decisions, short paths, and rapid feedback to the applicants.
How much technical know-how should you have for a career at DEWETRON?
Of course, this depends on the position you are looking for. For technical positions, we are usually looking for people with a completed technical education in areas such as electrical engineering, mechatronics, or automation technology. For administrative positions, for example, technical know-how is not necessary, but it is important to us that there is an interest in technology so that people can identify not only with the job but also, and above all, with the company.
Internally, however, we regularly organize training courses for all those who are “non-technicians” to be able to gain a better view of the big picture.
Do you currently have any open positions?
