Data Privacy Policy

We at DEWETRON value the privacy of our visitors and partners. This privacy policy will explain how DEWETRON (“we”, “our organization”, “us”) uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our websites or order our products and services.

1. WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT?

We collect different types of data, depending on the type of service and page you are using. Besides the obvious data that is collected through forms on the webpages (like name and email address) we also use a self-hosted, GDPR-compliant webpage analytics tool to get insight into how visitors use our websites. The following data will be collected behind the scenes:

  • Timestamp of your visit
  • Title and URL of the page being viewed
  • URL of the page viewed prior to the current page
  • Screen resolution
  • Page generation time
  • Main language and user agent string of the browser

2. HOW DO WE COLLECT DATA?

We collect data when you:

  • Register online for one of the services provided by us
  • Place an order for one of our products or services
  • Use or view one of our websites using a tracking JavaScript
  • Send us a message through one of the provided feedback forms
  • Sign up to our newsletter

We might also receive data about you from LinkedIn if you allowed LinkedIn to share your personal data with third parties.

3. HOW DO WE USE YOUR DATA?

We use your data so we can:

  • Process your order (which is kind of mandatory, so no opt-out there)
  • Email you with our newsletter or special offers on products you might like (of course only if you gave us your consent)
  • Contact you about quality issues or regarding feedback for our services (if you are a customer and purchased one of our products or services recently)

4. WHERE DO WE STORE YOUR DATA?

Analytics data about webpage visits is stored anonymously on our own servers hosted in an Austrian data center. Newsletter subscriptions and consents are also stored on our own servers in the same data center in Austria. Physical access to the servers is only permitted for select individuals and is monitored closely. Access to the data stored on the servers is only given to those that need to work on this data and is secured by encrypted communication channels and two factor authentication. All servers are constantly monitored for suspicious activity.

Customer data and data about your purchased products and services are stored and processed using Salesforce Inc. using their European datacenters (located in Frankfurt and Paris).

5 . NEWSLETTERS, WEBINARS, AND EMAIL SURVEYS

If you have subscribed to our newsletter service, we will send your newsletter using a third-party mailing service provided by Mailgun Technologies. Data is processed in their European datacenter.
If you have agreed to receive marketing content, you can opt-out at any time using the provided links in the emails.

If you have registered for one of our webinars, your personal data is shared with Goto.com for participant management and notifications about the webinar details.

If you have recently purchased one of our products or services, our quality department might contact you about quality issues or send you an invitation for a customer survey. Surveys are done by surveymonkey.com but no personal data is collected or required to finish those surveys and your answers will help us providing you with even better services.

6. WHAT ARE YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS
