How to exchange modules of a DEWETRON measurement system - featuring picture

There are countless reasons why data acquisition and analysis experts rely on our high-end DAQ systems. One among many others is for instance the distinctive modularity. This means you can adjust any DEWETRON measurement system to make it the right solution for your measurement task. In that way, any DEWETRON system might become a power analyzer simply by adding e.g. the famous TRION3-1810M-POWER-4. Likewise, you can equip your system to measure NVH phenomena with a TRION3-1850-MULTI module. To simply do that, you will find a step-by-step guide on how to exchange modules in the following paragraphs.

The step-by-step guide on how to exchange modules and sub-modules

In the following paragraphs, you will learn how to exchange modules and sub-modules of your DEWETRON system. Thereby, you must consider that proper ESD precautions are a requirement to avoid any damage to the unit. In case of uncertainty, please do not hesitate to contact our support team. If you want to exchange sub-modules of a TRION(3)-POWER module, please follow all the following steps carefully. However, if you want to exchange modules entirely, you can skip steps 4 to 6 as these are sub-module specific.

Step 1

Switch off the instrument and unplug all connected cables including sensors from the TRION(3) series modules.

Step 2

Loosen the screws at the top and the bottom of the TRION(3) module front panel (4x) and pull down the injector/ejector handle to release the module.

Step 2

Step 3

Pull the TRION(3) module from the housing. A suitable removal aid was delivered with your system.

Step 3

Step 6

Secure the replaced sub-module with the torx screw (M2x4, TX6). Maximum torque 0.2 NM.

Step 6

Step 8

Pull up the injector/ejector handle to latch the module. Tighten the screws at the top and bottom of the TRION(3) module front panel (2x or 4x) to secure the module.

Now, you have reached the end of the step-by-step guide to exchange modules or sub-modules. The new module is autotmatically detected by your DAQ system and your measurement system is fully functional again.
