TRION3-1810-SUB-8 and TRION(3)-18xx-POWER module

24/03/2022 | General, Hardware, Knowledge

What makes DEWETRON stand out is the modularity, accuracy and reliability of our products. Our TRION(3) power modules, especially the TRION3-1810-SUB-8 module, offers you a maximum of flexibility.

In this article we want to give you a comprehensive insight into the capabilities of our TRION power modules and introduce our most modular TRION3-1810-SUB-8 module.

Our TRION(3) power modules

With our TRION(3) power modules, you can upgrade any compatible DEWETRON system to a full-fledged power analyzer. This process is easy and fast: You just have to plug your new power module into your DEWE2 or DEWE3 system. Our OXYGEN software automatically detects and configures all modules. So, you can start working immediately after starting your system – without long waiting times. Find out more about the exchange of TRION(3) cards in this article.TRION(3)-POWER

The TRION power modules use PXI bus systems which allows them to achieve a high data bandwidth and performance. Our high-speed TRION3 power modules even use the PXIe standard (PXI express). This means your system will not yield even in the most data-hungry applications, which is perfect for automotive or aerospace applications. Please also note that while TRION3 modules are compatible with DEWE2 and DEWE3 systems, TRION modules only work with DEWE2 systems. You can learn more about the difference between PXI and PXIe or TRION and TRION3 in this blogpost.

You can choose from a wide range of TRION(3) power modules with resolutions of up to 24 bit and sampling rates of up to 10 MS/s. All TRION(3) boards also feature simultaneous sampling of all input channels. Additionally, the fixed voltage inputs can be used in a range of ±1000 VPEAK and offer you with CAT III 1000 V also one of the highest safety standards in the industry.

Highest flexibility with TRION3-1810-SUB-8

All of our TRION(3) power modules come with a certain number of interchangeable sub-modules. Our TRION3-1810-SUB-8 module takes this modularity to the extreme by giving you 8 interchangeable slots. No matter what you plan to do with your TRION(3) DAQ board, the TRION3-1810-SUB-8 board is always a suitable choice.

The TRION3-1810-SUB-8 module uses the PXIe standard and is therefore ideally suited for high-speed applications. It also offers a sampling rate of 1 MS/s and a resolution of 18 bit. All in all, this module is not only flexible, but also precise!

The TRION sub-modules are the core of our TRION3-1810-SUB-8 measurement board. We offer a wide range of sub-modules for DC or voltage measurement. Thus, almost any kind of voltage and current sensor can be connected to our modules. In addition, each of the sub-modules is user-replaceable. Sub-modules are recognized automatically, and calibration data is stored directly in the sub-module.

A listing of all modules can be found in the table below.
