HVRT and LVRT Testing for Renewable Energy Systems

Abstract

High-Voltage Ride-Through (HVRT) and Low-Voltage Ride-Through (LVRT) tests verify the grid-code compliance of renewable energy and storage systems under voltage disturbances.

This application note shows how DEWETRON power analyzers simplify ride-through testing through high-accuracy measurements, fast transient detection, real-time parameter calculation, and waveform analysis. With update rates down to 1 ms, engineers can capture transients and evaluate key compliance parameters efficiently.

Advanced analysis, SCPI automation, and automated reporting further reduce testing effort and support reliable certification of grid-connected energy systems.
