DEWETRON's Channel Expansions

Due to the modular design of DEWETRON devices, they are highly flexible multi-signal data acquisition systems. Depending on the configuration, a single system can measure up to 128 signals simultaneously. Additionally, our systems are compatible with a wide range of sensors, enabling measurements of various signal types: including current, voltage, temperature, vibration, and more.
However, certain applications require even more channels than a single system can provide. Therefore, to easily expand your data acquisition system we offer several different solutions tailored to diverse applications. In the following sections, we will have a closer look at our different solutions and highlight their key facts.
Our channel expansion possibilities for your DEWETRON DAQ system
XR modules – low-speed channel expansions
Our XR modules are designed for low-speed data acquisition tasks with sample rates up to 200 S/s. They come in four variants:
- XR-V8: for nondynamic voltage measurements.
- XR- LA8: for current measurements and loop-powered sensors.
- XR-TH8-S: for temperature measurements via various types of thermocouples.
- XR-RTD8: for temperature measurements via resistance temperature detectors (RTDs).
Each XR module features 8 isolated input channels, ensuring accurate and interference-free data acquisition. Built to withstand harsh environments, these rugged devices ensure reliable operation even in demanding field conditions with temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85 °C. All XR modules connect seamlessly with any DEWE device via CAN or RS485 interfaces, offering versatile integration options for expanding your data acquisition system.

TRIONet3 – high precision front-end
The TRIONet3 is a compact high-speed DAQ system, which operates independently or as an expansion for existing DEWETRON devices. It connects seamlessly via Ethernet or USB 3.0 to any DEWE2/3 device or additional TRIONet3 units.
The integrated TRION-SYNC-BUS ensures precise, synchronized data acquisition across the entire system. Thanks to its modular design, the TRIONet3 supports all TRION(3) modules, making it suitable for a wide range of applications—from basic voltage measurements to advanced tasks like power analysis.

TRION-x-dLV-CB16-D9 – MSI connector box
The for modules. It supports up to 16 D-SUB-9 connections for analog inputs or DEWETRONs modular smart interfaces (MSIs). These MSIs are advanced signal conditioners tailored to specific sensor types, enabling seamless integration of a wide range of sensors, including:
- Thermocouple sensors,
- RTD sensors,
- IEPE sensors,
- LVDT & RVDT sensors,
- Strain gauge and bridge sensors,
- Charge type sensors,
- … and more.
In addition, the TRION-x-dLV-CB16-D9 also features a CAN and digital I/O interface as well as an auxiliary sensor supply. This versatile solution provides an adaptable and cost-efficient expansion for high-speed data acquisition.

OXYGEN-NET – software option
OXYGEN-NET is an optional feature of our OXYGEN measurement software. It enables seamless integration of multiple DEWETRON DAQ systems into a unified measurement network. By connecting multiple DEWE2/3 devices via Ethernet, you can create a synchronized data acquisition system with over 1000 high-speed channels. This software option offers our most comprehensive channel expansion.
Thanks to the modularity of our devices, OXYGEN-NET supports highly flexible and scalable setups tailored to your specific testing needs. Key features include various synchronization options, remote configuration of all connected devices, and redundant data storage, ensuring reliable and efficient operation even in complex measurement environments.
Note: OXYGEN-NET is an optional feature and requires an additional software license.
