DirectX "Webcam" Cameras
Inexpensive DirectX cameras are easily added to just about any DEWETRON system (no special software or options are needed beyond DEWESoft-SE or higher). USB cameras are plentiful and inexpensive, while Firewire cameras provide a little more performance and less CPU load. All DEWETRON systems have USB interfaces, and certain models have Firewire.
USB CAM
Within DirectX cameras, USB 2.0 types are the most common and inexpensive. Nearly all of them are compatible with your DEWETRON system, and can be used for video documentation purposes. USB 2.0 cameras can generally run at up to 20 fps at full 640x480 pixel resolution, or slightly faster at smaller sizes. The camera shown here is just one example of dozens which are compatible. Virtually all USB webcams may be used. |
