DEWE-2600 Overview
The DEWE-2600 is the follow-on to our enormously successful DEWE-2010 and DEWE-2520, the original Dewetron PC instruments! Like the DEWE-2010, the DEWE-2600 is a rugged, all-metal PC-based instrument with high quality plug-in signal conditioning, one or more internal A/D cards, and great software. And like the DEWE-2520, it has hot swappable battery power capability. What makes it unique is that this one mainframe chassis can support just about any combination of DAQ and MDAQ modules on the rear panel, and can be configured with ANY of our popular power systems! So you can have a plan AC powered unit, or a DC powered unit, or a battery-powered unit (which also runs from DC or AC). The DEWE-2600 a regular computer running Windows, so you can load whatever software you like. It has a DVD-CD-RW drive as standard, so you can burn gigabytes of data to inexpensive media in minutes. Or use the standard Ethernet or USB 2.0 interfaces to transfer data to another computer. |

Three power configurations
The DEWE-2600, DEWE-2601, and DEWE-2602 models can be configured to run from 120/240VAC power, or from wide ranging DC power, which is ideal for in-vehicle testing applications. Or - choose our unique SideHAND™ battery power system, which allows the system to run for about 2 hours without any external power connected! And it recharges automatically whenever you plug it in to AC or DC power. |
System Architecture - At a glance
Dewetron systems have the ability to bring all all kinds of data synchronously. It starts with dynamic analog data from every sensor -- but that's just the beginning. What about slower channels, such as thermocouples? Or asynchronous data streams from the CAN BUS, or ARINC 429? They can be recorded perfectly as well. Go ahead and plug in a GPS sensor, from 1 Hz to 200 Hz. What about video cameras, running at a wide variety of frame rates? Now you are starting to see the benefits of a multi-domain measurement system. How do we achieve it? It's all about the ORION A/D cards and the system clock. Our ORION cards have been designed from the beginning to provide a high speed/high resolution clock by which all data streams, regardless of their rate or synchronicity, can be recorded perfectly. |
