Higher Density Modules for Dynamic SignalsMDAQ modules are essentially a small "cluster" of DAQ modules, in 8 or 16 channel increments. MDAQ modules can be built-in to a DEWETRON system or chassis - and they are also available as external modules which connect directly to one of the A/D cards in your DEWETRON system or another computer. There are no compromises with MDAQ conditioners - they offer the highest performance possible! Here are the key modules within this series, organized by signal type: |
MDAQ Module Types
Our MDAQ series modules are divided into several logical groups according to their application and input types. Please use the buttons above to look further into any of these groups to learn more about them!
- VOLTAGE MODULE (wide ranging module from 125 mV to 200V)
- ACCELEROMETER MODULES (constant current type)
- STRAIN GAGE MODULES (basic bridge and powerful strain gage types)
- OHMIC & POTENTIOMETRIC (see strain gage above)
Note - with our unique ADAP "smart adapters", you can convert MDAQ channels of one type to another type! This provides the kind of channel-by-channel flexibility that our customers have been asking for! ADAP converters utilize TEDS smart sensor technology to make using them as easy as plugging them in. ADAP converters provide additional input types, including:
- TEMPERATURE (thermocouple J, K, T)
- CURRENT INPUTS (0-20 or 4-20 mA, and 0-5A DC inputs)
MDAQ General Information
MDAQ modules are 8-channel modules for dynamic signals. Each 8 channel module is called an "MDAQ-SUB" -- and any two of these MDAQ-SUBs can plug into one MDAQ-INT-BASE module, creating an input module with 16 total channels. Unlike DAQ modules, MDAQ-SUB modules do not have on-board filtering as standard, however, this can be added by way of any one of our 16-channel MDAQ-FILT cards, which plugs into the other side of the MDAQ-INT-BASE card. All MDAQ functions are controlled by software within DEWESoft. Some MDAQ-SUB modules are offered with a selection of input connector type, which will be shown below the table. In general, MDAQ modules are:

High-density signal conditioning used to mean lower performance. Dewetron turned this 180 degrees around with the MDAQ series!
