Dewetron Sensing Technology

Every link in the signal chain is equally important - if any of them fail, then the quality of your measured data will suffer. We are not a maker of sensors per se, but we offer a few important ones, and have designed and manufactured our own for very special applications. Perhaps the simplest and most commonly required are shunts, clamps and flexible coils for current measurements.

These are specialty sensors specifically made for Dewetron data acquisition systems, or which serve a key function within one or more of our systems. These include our DEWE-CAM01 and other video cameras that work with our systems, our world-class DEWE-VGPS-200, as well as MT series gyro sensors, and current clamps and coils for current measurements.

DEWE-VGPS-200C

The DEWE-VGPS-200 is the fastest GPS sensor in the world, providing 200 speed/distance updates each second, plus 20 Hz updates via serial computer interface of speed, acceleration, latitude, longitude, elevation, UTC, and more. Also includes analog speed and distance outputs.

XSENS GYROS

XSENS MTi series inertial sensors utilize solid state gyro electronics to create a powerful, low cost, and incredibly small unit. Small enough to close in your palm, MT sensors can be worn or mounted, and output 3D rate of turn and acceleration data directly into DEWESoft via RS232 or USB.

DEWE-CAM-01

The DEWE-CAM01 is a synchronizable camera with a digital Firewire interface. Due to its advanced CCD chip and auto-adjustment to changing light conditions, the MARLIN makes beautiful quality images at speeds up to 240 fps at 320x240, or 74 fps at full resolution 640x480.

BASLER-CAM

The BASLER-CAM is our FASTEST synchronizable camera. Like the DEWE-CAM-01 it connects via digital Firewire interface. While it lacks the auto-adjustment to changing light conditions of the DEWE-CAM-01, it is capable of greater speed: up to 100 fps at full resolution 640x480, or by reducing the height of the image you can increase the speed. The limit is 1500 fps with a 27 pixel high image.

More Cameras...

For non-synchronized video, there are numerous other kinds of video cameras which can be used. The most popular and common are USB and Firewire DirectX WEBCAMS, which are inexpensive and easy to connect. Also, analog output cameras can be utilized via an analog-to-directX frame-grabber interface, and the list goes on. Even high speed video cameras can be utilized separately and then their resulting AVI files can be post-synced into Dewesoft-PROF!

Current/Amp

DEWETRON provides a broad selection of current clamps and flexible current coils, that are compatible with our multifunction recording systems and, of course, our power quality testing systems. AC clamps require no power, while DC/AC clamps and current coils require power which is provided directly by the DEWETRON system that it is used with.
