The DEWE-2018 was our original PC-instrument, introduced in the mid 1990's. Back then it was called the PORT-2000. Although it has been continuously upgraded in terms of its computer specifications (like all our products), at heart it remains essentially the same: a rugged, all-metal PC-based instrument with high quality plug-in signal conditioning, one or more internal A/D cards, and great software.
There are several basic models, distinguished by how many PCI/ISA slots they provide. See the QUICK LOOK specs below for an overview of how many slots each version of the DEWE-2018 includes.

The DEWE-2018 has multiple PCI slots, so you can add your own cards and turn it into the instrument that you need. This model is the workhorse of our lunchbox format IPC's, and thousands have been built since more than 10 years!
