Battery powered - Option 3020-PS-BAT

This option turns your DEWE-3020 into a fully battery powered instrument. Three hot-swappable batteries guarantee continuous operation without an external power source for up to ~3 hours. Since this time depends a lot on the system configuration a DEWESoft plugin shows the battery status directly in the software. Also alarm conditions can be set and the battery parameters can be displayed as additional measurement channels.

Hot-swappable batteries mean that the DEWE-3020 can run indefinitely without any external power!

Shock and vibration - rugged enough for almost all applications

The DEWE-3020 has been designed for most harsh environments and is compliant to EN 60068.

“Automotive power supply” option

This option (3020-DC-UPS) changes the standard AC power supply of the DEWE-3020 to a wide range DC power supply with UPS function for approx. 5 minutes. An external AC adaptor for in-lab use is included.

This option is especially useful for in-vehicle testing to bridge the cars battery voltage drop when starting the engine but also for many other applications where short power breakdowns must not interrupt the measurement, e.g. power monitoring.

Basic configuration guideline

  1. Choose the right model for your application from DEWE-3020 and DEWE-3021
  2. Add one or more ORION-series AD cards to your DEWE-302x instrument and define
    1. Number, resolution and sampling rate of analog inputs
    2. Number and features of digital, counter/encoder inputs
    3. Number of CAN inputs
  3. Choose the appropriate signal conditioning for analog inputs

Expandability

Analog expansion

Each DEWE-3020 has an expansion connector to connect an 8 slot expansion chassis (provided that a 16 channel ORION-series A/D card is installed). The expansion chassis connects via a single cable connection incl. data, communication and power supply.
