DEWETRON has advanced the state-of-the-art in counter/encoder inputs  and all TRION™ counter boards are equipped with synchronous 32-bit counters. The key advancement is, that all counters are phase synchronized.

Refering to the diagram, you can see that a standard counter is always a sample behind. With software interpolation you can get closer, but only DEWETRONs advanced technology is both, fully phase and amplitude corrected.
