Tacho Probe
The tacho probe is designed to measure a pulse coming from a reflective tape or any other object which reflects light. It is used to measure the speed of a rotating shaft (rpm) and it can create a trigger event, based on a reflection.
The sensor is emitting light which is reflected from an object and received by a photo transistor. Thus the output of this sensor is an analog voltage signal which is representing the incoming light.
A white color mark, a screw head, a flute or something similar produce different light reflections and therefore a signal which could be used to trigger. The typical distance to the object is about 2 cm.
Connected to an analog input of any DEWETRON system, the user can see the shape of the curve, and can define the trigger level in the prepared angle mathematic of the software.
