Strobe CamSometimes a picture or a video helps to understand or to determine the behavior of a system. Especially rotating parts are very hard to observe with standard cameras because of limited frame rate. But with a special trick it is even possible to view dynamic behavior with a standard camera. This procedure is called “STROBE”. Strobe is defined as a frequently pulse, which occurs exactly after every revolution to get a stable picture. This strobe could be additionally phase shifted after every revolution to get the pictures every certain degree. Taking pictures or video could be done simultaneously with mixed signal data acquisition. So recording acceleration, pressure, temperature, CAN-bus, voltage, current, … and classical synchronous video together with Strobe Cam will give you the total picture.
