Validation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) support drivers in their task of driving a vehicle. There are various applications which work on different levels of assistance and perform different types of assistance.
By adding different types of visioning (camera, radar, lidar, ...) sensors and using advanced Information and Communication Technology, ADAS provide new, intelligent solutions that have great potential in solving road transport safety problems.
The publication of the new ISO/DIS 26262 draft standard "Road vehicles − Functional safety" has raised the bar for the development of safety relevant systems in road vehicles. OEMs and ECU suppliers will need to adapt their development processes to accommodate the requirements of the new standard.
DEWETRON provides testing tools for the validation and verification of Driver Assistance Systems that see an increasing demand in the industry. In cooperation with GeneSys Elektronik and TÜV SÜD Automotive, DEWETRON developed a test system to validate Adaptive Cruise Control (CAPS-ACC).
Key features
- Universal and multi-functional measurement system for each vehicle
- Synchronized measurement of analog (voltage, acceleration, strain, etc.), counter, CAN, GPS and video data
- High accurate combined GPS and Gyro measurement with ADMA from GeneSys Elektronik GmbH
- Easy mounting, setup, alignment and calibration
- Comparable and reproducible tests
DEWETRON systems are investments in the future; they can grow with your requirements and replace several application-specific solutions on the test track, on test benches, or in the lab.
